Kemi Sokenu-Morris is the CEO of the Oladiran Olusegun Adebutu (OOA) Foundation, a nonprofit combating poverty among orphans and vulnerable youth in southwestern Nigeria through targeted education, employment, physical and mental health interventions. In 6 years, the Foundation has touched the lives of 3000 vulnerable women, 300 youths & children, and transformed 500 low-skill self-starters into entrepreneurs through training, apprenticeship, and a novel worker-owned enterprise model which bagged the Stanford University Africa Business Forum award, 2017. Kemi brings to the table over twenty years of experience administering sustainability, youth empowerment, community development, impact investment, and advocacy programs for institutions ranging from state governments to corporations. Her contributions to Safe Blood for Africa Club 25; a PEPFAR funded program that helps youth maintain blood donation eligibility by teaching them to keep a risk-free lifestyle, has become the national standard and has been replicated across the continent. She has also featured in various international development events from Argentina to Hong Kong. She is an accomplished project development consultant, committed to providing strategic leadership, project direction, and sustainable influence for international and local organizations focused on Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Justice amongst vulnerable children, sustainability development, and investment initiatives.

Kemi was recently featured at the United Nations General Assembly, where she emphasized the essential role of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her insights and contributions have further strengthened her commitment to creating a sustainable and inclusive future.

Previously, Kemi was Senior Special Assistant– Projects in the Office of the Governor, Ogun State, Nigeria. She also worked with Generation Enterprise- Pennsylvania USA as a Trustee on the Youth Bank Incubator program; She set up the first-ever Corporate Social Responsibility Unit at the First City Monument Bank, served on the team as a Consultant to Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) on the UN She Trades initiative; and USAID on the Safe Blood for Africa initiative.

She currently serves as the Chairperson, Executive Council of the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN); and an Advisory Board member of Hospital for Humanity Foundation, Atlanta USA; and Board Member with Ave Maria Development Limited, Nigeria and recently bagged the formidable Professional Fundraising Certificate from Boston University.

When she is not designing holistic solutions to systemic socioeconomic issues, Kemi enjoys traveling, exploring, meeting new people, and dancing. Kemi Sokenu -Morris is a proud mother of two children.
